Red Nose Day
After a fantastic day of funny faces we would like to say “thank you” for your generous donations to Comic Relief. Across the two schools we have raised in the region of £1200! If you still have some sponsor money at home please bring it in on Monday and we will add it to the total.

National Dental Survey, Thursday 19 March
Some Year R and Year 1 children will be taking part in the dental survey on Thursday. This was postponed from last November.

Fluffy Friday, 20 March
Please remember to send in your £1 contribution towards the cost of materials. If you are free and able to help, you would be very welcome to join us for the morning.

End of term Easter Service, Wednesday 25 March
If you are available to help walk the children to and from Holy Trinity church on the last Wednesday of term, please let your child’s class teacher know. At the end of the service we will be walking back to Pewley for the usual end of the school day. With the whole school attending the service, there will unfortunately be very limited space to stay and watch.

End of term, Friday 27 March, 1.30 pm.

Lucia Cetin Nightingale has lost one pink ballet shoe, size 10-11.

Baby girl and baby boy dolls – left behind at the parent consultation evenings.

Bake 'n' Stroll - 22 March 2015
We hope you have received the information about our exciting new event - the Bake 'n' Stroll - in your child's book bag which is being held from 2pm until 4.30pm on 22 March 2015.

the Bake - We are hoping for lots of entries in our Bake Off competition. Have fun in the kitchen baking anything (without nuts!) you enjoy making. There are three categories of entries: Kids' Cakes & Cookies (with minimal help from a grown up), Dads' Delicacies and Mums' Masterpieces. Please bring your entries to the School Hall between 1pm and 1.45pm on Sunday 22 March. The competition will be judged by a cake expert from Glutton & Glee during the Stroll and the winners announced at the end. As well as the honour of being crowned Best Baker, there are some fabulous prizes for the winner in each category.

the Stroll - Tickets for the Stroll are now on sale at £5 per family. Please join us at 2pm, starting from the School Playground, for a stroll or run, depending on how energetic you are feeling, around our treasure trail on the Downs and for a (free) cup of tea back at School afterwards. The trail is largely suitable for buggies and we are hoping that the sun will shine but come dressed for fun in any weather.

Feel free to "bling your boots" and join in the Welly Wow Factor. We can't wait to see lots of wacky and wonderful wellies out on the course. Back at school, there will also be the chance for the children to make an Easter posy of fresh flower for a small charge.

We still need some volunteers to help with marshalling, serving tea, selling cakes and posy making. Please let Emily Bourke, Jill Morgan or Nicci Holliday know if you are able to help on the day.

Advance Notice - Phil the Bag
There will be a Phil the Bag collection after the Easter holiday so if you're clearing out your wardrobes over the holidays, bag them ready for the collection. We will confirm the date next week.

Planning a short break or day trip over the Easter holidays or perhaps you are booking your summer holiday?
If so, please consider going first to Easyfundraising.org.uk and nominating Friends of Pewley Down Infant School as your chosen charity then accessing the retailer's website from there. Many retailers offer significant donations if bookings or purchases are made via the easyfundraising website. For example at the moment lastminute.com will donate 7% of the cost of your trip and Expedia 6% and LEGOLAND are offering a 4% donation.
